Selling a home privately is not a new idea. My first experience of selling a house privately was back in 1980 when my family sold their 3 bedroom semi detached house in Heol Seddon privately after poor performance by the appointed estate agent. We had created a homemade For Sale board, donned our paint brushes and branded it "for sale by owner" . High winds promptly destroyed the board. Unperturbed, we advertised the house in the property classified ads in the local newspaper. We had an offer which we accepted within 7 days. Very pleased with our efforts, we told everyone we knew. Some tried it for themselves. No-one else had any success though. Why was I the only one out of a group of 3 or 4 to sell my own home? We were lucky. It was 1980. The internet wasn’t around then. Back then, the estate agent was the best way to get your house marketed and put in front of potential purchasers. The Internet, with the help of Dream Homes Direct does exactly this. In fact, the advent of the internet now means that if your home is advertised online, it can be seen by more potential buyers than in pre-internet days. Most estate agents now use the internet to advertise their properties for sale. We’d like you to consider this:- advertising property privately with Dream Homes Direct gives you the same marketing power as the estate agent can give you, but you get it at a fraction of the cost!
